Just had to say a little something about this--thing--I'm watching right now.
I'm watching the live Mets press conference on SNY featuring Mets GM Omar Minaya and Interim Manager Jerry Manuel. I have to say, I really don't care much for Omar. I've never been his biggest fan, but he just seems slimy today. He is elusive in answering question and just gives me the feeling that he's hiding stuff. Honesty is obviously a big thing with me.
However, although I may not have been the biggest supporter of Jerry Manuel taking the manager's position, I may start to warm up to him. He actually shows emotion (Willie showed none) and he seems to be pretty competent. The way he is answering questions, I am starting to become hopeful again about the Mets season. Manuel's alright with me--for now. I am, after all, a New York fan. We can change our minds about how we feel about our sports teams at the drop of a dime. I guess it's our cross to bare.
