Willie Randolph is gone. With him, went Rick Peterson.
Halle-fricken-lujah.
I'm not sure why it took this long and happened in this manner. Not many people are. Right now I'm watching Mike Francesa and Chris Russo (Mike and the Mad Dog for all those New Yorkers) debate whether the Mets organization went about this all the right way. I think they did it exactly right. If they did it before the current road trip they are on, it would have spelt disaster for the Mets. I doubt they would have won a single game. But what I really wanna know, is why it took this long. Honestly though, I don't care. It's finally done.
So, with Willie out, that means Jerry Manuel is in. And with Peterson out (thank GOD), that means Triple-A New Orleans pitching coach Dan Warthen is in. I'm fine with Warthen; they didn't really have many other choices. However, I'm still not sure Manuel is the answer for the Mets. But we'll see. And we'll pray like crazy. The Mets play tonight at 10:05 in LA in their second game against the Angels, the first of which they won 9-6 with Pelfrey taking the win (and boosting my fantasy team stats :D ). This is gonna be interesting.
Now for some good scoop from Watch With Kristin:
- The character of West on Heroes is most likely gone. I actually liked him.
- Another Heroes tid-bit: Claire is not the only character that is adopted. Though Kristin hasn't told us who is, cuz that actually would be really lame, whoever it is will shake the foundations of the show. I'm pretty excited.
- It's summer and tv news is slow.
Alright, I have a busy day. I just had to talk about the exit of Willie and Rick. Let me know what y'all think.
Later bloggers...
